9th edition of the “Journées Nationales de Prévention de la Noyade” (National Drowning Prevention Days) – starting 15 May

The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation supports the 9th edition of the “Journées Nationales de Prévention de la Noyade” (National Drowning Prevention Days).

From 15 May to mid-June 2017, around sixty swimming pools across France, managed and supervised by Vert Marine, a company specialised in the delegated management of sport and leisure equipment on behalf of the local authorities, set up workshops and demonstrations for schoolchildren and the public at large. This operation is organized in partnership with the French Federation of Swim Instructors and Lifeguards and the National Union of Professional Swim Instructors-Lifeguards.

The aim of this initiative is to raise awareness among public opinion and to teach prevention and first aid measures in order to fight against death by drowning.
