The Principality of Monaco became the capital of international cycling with challenges between professional athletes and champions of other sports, a large space dedicated to children creating a future generation of athletes and teaching them how to ride a bike safely.
This event raised funds for the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation and the Fondazione Michele Scarponi Onlus.
In the morning, the Pro/AM race pitted together teams made of 2 professional cyclists, 2 amateurs and 1 Foundation representative.
This charity race gave the following podium :
Winning team: Peter Sagan, Steven Kruijswijk, Marco Varisco, Luca Nardello, Thor Hushovd.
#2: Sonny Colbrelli, Tiffany Cromwell, Thomas Delabre, John Bertolino, Valtteri Bottas.
#3: Jakob Fuglsang, Matteo Moschetti, Giacomo Cingolani, Cyrille Boyer, Gustav Larsson.
