Canada – “Nager pour Survivre” (Swim to Survive) – September 2016 – July 2017

For the past three years, the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation has been proudly supporting the “Nager pour Survivre” (Swim to Survive) project in and around Montreal.  Their partner, Société de Sauvetage (Lifesaving Society), was introduced to them by Foundation Ambassador and Olympic skiing champion, Alexandre Bilodeau.

This programme teaches children basic survival swimming techniques and how to get to safety should they fall into water unexpectedly.

Since engaging in a partnership together in April 2014, more than 11,100 children aged 8 and 9 years old have benefitted from these lessons.

The Foundation has renewed their support for this proramme which will run through to the end of the school term in July 2018 and will target 4,410 more children.
