H.S.H. Princess Charlene of Monaco sponsored the 17th edition of the 24h de Natation de Sion

H.S.H. Princess Charlene of Monaco sponsored the 17th edition of the 24h de Natation organized by the Cercle des Nageurs de Sion, Switzerland, which was held on December 4-5, 2021.

Usually every two years, this event invites everyone to swim the greatest possible distance, without assistance and without time constraints but with a minimum of 100 meters covered.

For 24 consecutive hours, swimmers take turns in the large indoor pool of Sion for an ode to swimming and water sports. In the other pools, various aquatic activities take place, with awareness-raising workshops on drowning prevention and lifesaving in partnership with the Swiss Lifesaving Society.

Mrs. Stéphanie Geyer Barneix, world champion in lifesaving and record holder of paddle board crossings, animated the 24h de Natation to represent the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation.

She also participated in conferences on the themes of sports performance and well-being, presented by Mr. Thomas Sammut (mental trainer, author, and speaker) and Mr. Frédérick Bousquet (Olympic medalist and swimming record holder).
