Monaco Week Sydney
Diner in favor of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation – 19.09.2017

On September 19, Monaco’s Embassy and Sydney’s Honorary Consulate organized, in partnership with Park Hyatt and Société des Bains de Mer, a diner in favor of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation.

The evening took place at the Park Hyatt and was part of the “Monaco Week Sydney” which celebrated the 10th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the Principality of Monaco and Australia.

The funds raised will finance the “Swim and Survive Access and Equity Program” carried out by the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation in partnership with Royal Life Saving - Australia (RLSA). This program aims at teaching Australian children how to swim and water safety measures.

According to RLSA, 291 deaths by drowning occurred in 2016 in Australia and 685 persons went to the hospital. Children remain the most affected and represent 45% of the victims.
