Partnership with the National Sea Rescue Institute South Africa – 05.11.2018

The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation South Africa has become a partner of the National Sea Rescue Institute Education Programme.

This Programme, established in 2006, has reached almost 2 million children across South Africa. Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco is Patron of this programme.

Drowning is a cause of great concern around the world. In South Africa more than 600 children die by drowning each year, and many more are disabled.

Drownings are largely preventable and for that reason require commitment to education and public awareness. Our instructors visit schools and teach children what to do in an emergency, who to call for help, how to rescue a friend and how to do Hands On CPR.
