Water Safety Day - 12.06.2017

The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, the Aquatic Rescue Center of Monaco (CSAM) and the French association Cap ô Pas Cap, organised, on 12 June 2017, the Water Safety Day, in partnership with the Monaco Red Cross.

In the presence of HSH Princess Charlene, 79 school children aged between 11 and 13 were welcomed at the Larvotto Beach in Monaco, to discover and learn about aquatic rescue.

7 children suffering from cystic fibrosis and supervised by the association “Etoiles des Neiges” could also benefit from this day of sharing.

On this occasion, Pierre Frolla, four-time world record holder in free-diving, Director of the Aquatic Rescue Center of Monaco and Ambassador of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation and of the association “Etoiles des Neiges”, was surrounded by high performance athletes and personalities in order to raise awareness among children about first aid and the risks related to the marine environment:  Itziar Abascal, Carlos Alonso, Stéphanie Barneix, Alain Bernard, Marianne Brechu, Bernard Crepel, Henry Davis, Virginie Dedieu, Frédérique Jossinet, Julien Lalanne, Sophie Mauriac, Anthony Mazzer, Maxime Nocher, Kevin Rolland and  Marc Toesca.

Now that summer is upon us, the messages that the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation communicates are more pertinent than ever:  raise public awareness to the danger of water, educate children about proper water safety and teach them to swim.
