World Conference on Drowning Prevention - Vancouver, Canada – 17-19.10.2017

The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation is pleased to announce their collaboration with Life Saving Society Canada for the World Conference on Drowning Prevention 2017 (WCDP) in Vancouver.

The overall goal of this combined project is to offer scholarships to professionals from organisations and institutions in low and middle income nations by supporting their attendance to the Conference which took place from 17-19 October.

The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation supported this programme for the second time and it is aimed at increasing the scholars’ technical knowledge for effective drowning prevention, giving them the opportunity to expand their networks and identifying opportunities for scaling up action for drowning prevention in their home countries.

The Foundation’s support provided 7 scholars the means to attend the Conference representing 7 nations (Brazil, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Thailand).
