South Africa-Monaco Rugby Exchange Monaco – Stade Louis II - 6 July 2016

As part of the “Sport & Education” programme, the U16 Monegasque Rugby team will travel to South Africa for the South Africa-Monaco Rugby Exchange, from 6 to 14 July 2016.
H.S.H. Princess Charlene wished to be present for the send-off to encourage these young athletes in proudly displaying the values of rugby.
This is the second part of the South Africa-Monaco Rugby Exchange, the first having been held last February with the visit of 12 underprivileged children from South Africa invited to the Sainte-Dévote Rugby Tournament, through partnership with the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, the Monegasque Rugby Federation and the South Africa Rugby Legends Association (SARLA).
Many cultural exchanges are organised with each stay, to help these young people develop their athletic, cultural and personal experience.
The Monegasque team will have the privilege of vying against several South African teams in a Rugby Sevens tournament at the City Park Stadium in Cape Town.
They will be accompanied by the leaders of the Monegasque Rugby Federation — Cédric Nardi, President, Thierry Danthez, Vice President, and Nicolas Bonnet, National Technical Director, in particular — along with Gareth Wittstock.
Implemented by the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, the “Sport and Education” programme is another fine example of a commitment to the values of Sport: team spirit, respect, sharing, solidarity and fair play.
