Safe Greece 2019

Water Salvation supported by the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, taught 1,200 children and adults water safety under the program « Safe Greece 2019 » in the summer camp « Xeniasto Melissi » last July.
Water Salvation, a Greek non-profit organization, implemented an extremely successful, entertaining and informative water safety training both practical and theoretical, for campers aged 6-17 years old and their camp counselors at Cape Sounion.

The syllabus included land-based and water-based rescues, survival at sea, resuscitation, water safety rules and awareness on lifesaving sport. Lead instructor was the 2-times International Swimming Hall of Fame award-winner, Dr. Stathis Avramidis supported by 10 volunteers.
Mr. Xavier Archimbault, Project Manager received 2 commendations by Water Salvation and the Sport Organization of the Piraeus Municipality on behalf of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation.
All participants expressed a great enthusiasm. Camp Director, Mr. Leonidas Kargakos and Water Salvation CEO, Mr. Sotiris Bouzianis, highly commended the presence and support of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation for the advancement of water safety in Greece.
