Yann-Erick Claessens, Dr. Nicolas Capet, Dr. Pierre Fremont, Dr. Renaud David, Mr. Gareth Wittstock, Secretary General of the  Foundation and Mr. Pascal Granero, General Manager<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This conference, dedicated to representatives of sports entities (associations, clubs, and federations) and medical institutions in the Principality, was supervised by expert speakers in the subject of concussions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Dr. Nicolas Capet<\/strong>, Neurologist at the Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace in the department of neurophysiological functional explorations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dr. Yann-Erick Claessens<\/strong>, Doctor and Head of the Emergency Department at the Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dr. Renaud David<\/strong>, Psychiatrist at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Nice and expert to the French Football Federation, the National Rugby League and the Federation of Combat Sports and Martial Arts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pr. Pierre Fremont<\/strong>, Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation of the Faculty of Medicine of Laval University in Quebec City. \u00a0As a clinician and researcher, he has developed extensive expertise in issues related to concussion prevention, diagnosis and management in environments ranging from youth development sports to international competitions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Professor Pierre Fremont, a recognized specialist in Canada and around the world, presented the extent of his experience in concussion treatment within professional and amateur sports. Professor Fremont insisted on the need for prevention and detection as part of a regular sports activity among young people, especially for contact sports with high risks of injuries which are sometimes imperceptible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More than 50 participants gathered for this first conference. The Foundation, alongside its partners in the medical sector, wishes to strengthen the exchange of relevant information on concussions and microtrauma in the sports environment in Monaco<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote alignleft has-text-align-center has-small-font-size\" style=\"border-radius:0px\"><blockquote><p>&#8220;it is important to emphasize that concussions are frequent events in the lives of athletes exposed to contacts, but of rapidly favorable evolution in the vast majority of cases if their management is organized. The optimal management of these seemingly innocuous traumas is based on a specific multidisciplinary care sector but also on the information and training of sports educators, school pedagogical teams and parents since early childhood. \u00bb<\/p><cite>Dr. Nicolas Capet<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fondationprincessecharlene.mc\/en\/programmes\/sport-education\">Sport &amp; Education<\/a><\/strong> programme, the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation endeavors to transmit the positive values of sport and to promote health through sport. For several years, the Foundation has been supporting initiatives related to concussions, such as with the British association <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/loveofthegame.org\">Love of the Game<\/a><\/strong> which funds the research and development of solutions to help prevent, diagnose, and treat concussions and related problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery
