of the &#8220;Sospel Natation Azur&#8221; project"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This Thursday, September 28, the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation visited the Sospel swimming pool as part of the &#8220;Sospel Natation Azur&#8221; project supported by the Foundation in partnership with the city of Sospel and the PACA League of the French Swimming Federation (FFN).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project, initiated in 2022, aims to teach swimming within the school curriculum to children from the town as well as from the municipalities of Breil-sur-Roya and Moulinet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure the duration of the project has been increased to include the month of June, allowing nearly 400 children from kindergarten to 6th grade to acquire the minimum skills to ensure their safety in the water and perform the &#8220;Sauv&#8217;Nage&#8221; test approved by the French School of Swimming and the FFN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This Thursday between 2pm and 5pm, more than 50 children from the CE2, CM1 and CM2 classes of the Sospel school participated in their last swimming lessons of the season, supervised by lifeguards certified by the FFN and holders of a State Certificate of aquatic and swimming activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diplomas certifying participation, medals of the FFN and swimming caps with the Foundation logo were presented to each child in the presence of Mr. Gareth Wittstock, Secretary General of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, Mr. Remi Besson, Member of the Steering Committee of the PACA League of the FFN, Mr. Jean-Mario Lorenzi, Mayor of Sospel and Mr. Renaud Detoeuf and Mr. Michel Poggi, Deputy Mayors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Sospel Natation Azur&#8221; is an important local project for the Foundation, whose main mission is to strengthen aquatic education to prevent drowning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It complements the one entitled &#8220;La Turbie Natation Azur&#8221; at the Municipal Swimming Pool Princess Charlene de La Turbie, which in June 2023 had also allowed 310 children aged between 4 and 10 years to receive swimming lessons at different levels, certifying their ability to ensure their safety in the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure
