On the morning of Wednesday 2 April, H.S.H. Princess Charl\u00e8ne attended the 9\u1d49 edition of the Princess Charl\u00e8ne Rally, held in Fontvieille.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A fervent defender of the values of sport and solidarity, H.S.H. The Princess encouraged the young participants and took part in the activities on offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organised by the Department of National Education, Youth and Sport (DENJS), in partnership with the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, the Peace and Sport organisation, the Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee and the Monaco Parents’ Association (APEM), this event aims to raise awareness of the values of sport among schoolchildren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is part of the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, celebrated every year on 6 April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nearly 400 3\u1d49 students from the Principality’s schools (Coll\u00e8ge Charles III, Institution FANB and Lyc\u00e9e Technique et H\u00f4telier – section SEGPA), divided into teams, took part in various activities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Conference and discussion with the Princess Charl\u00e8ne of Monaco Foundation and Peace and Sport, led by sportsmen and women Kevin Crovetto and Pierre Frolla (ambassadors for the Foundation and Peace and Sport), and Marl\u00e8ne Nidecker (Peace and Sport ambassador). The session also included a film screening followed by a debate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Drawing competition on the theme of sport and peace.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Relay on ergometers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Lifesaving course, in collaboration with the Acad\u00e9mie de la Mer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Quiz on the Princess Charl\u00e8ne of Monaco Foundation, Peace & Sport and the Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    At the end of the morning, several prizes were awarded, including two presented by H.S.H. Princess Charl\u00e8ne for the drawing competition prize and the overall 1st place prize in the challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The event concluded with a \u2018White Card\u2019 souvenir photo, in support of Peace and Sport’s global campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
