Beach Tour Prevention: Raising Awareness to Prevent Drownings
Initiated by the The National Professional Union of Lifeguards of Loire-Atlantique and in collaboration with the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, the Beach Tour Prevention is an awareness campaign aimed at preventing drownings in a department highly exposed to swim-related risks.
In response to the increase in drownings, this initiative seeks to change behaviours by introducing the public to life-saving techniques and best practices in aquatic environments. Organized as a traveling awareness village set up on beaches throughout July, the Beach Tour offers fun and educational workshops for all ages. As a continuation of the program, the Beach Camp is designed for middle school students as part of their civic education pathway.
