Swim4Life: Teaching Children to Swim to Save Lives in Thailand

In Thailand, the Swim4Life project is carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health and the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation and the Rotary Club of Samui-Phangan.

Drowning remains the 1st leading cause of death for children under 15 in the country. According to the World Health Organization, Thailand has the highest drowning rate among ASEAN nations, nearly twice the global average.

The Swim4Life project aims to prevent childhood drowning by equipping local children with essential water-safety skills. Participants learn how to survive in water and build confidence through structured swimming lessons.

Each 12-week session welcomes 50 children, helping them gain skills that can save lives.
