Three days dedicated to raising awareness about drowning prevention in the Landes

From September 8 to 10, the Water Safety Days took place in Léon, Vielle-Saint-Girons and Arjuzanx, bringing together a total of 288 children around one shared goal: learning, prevention and developing the right safety reflexes to stay safe in and around the water.

Organised by the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation together with its Ambassador, Stéphanie Barneix, World Champion in Lifesaving, the three days gave children the opportunity to take part in a variety of workshops combining learning, prevention and practical activities.

Prevention starts at an early age. Understanding the risks and adopting the right behaviours and knowing how to react in an emergency are essential steps towards helping prevent drowning.

A big thank you to all 288 children, supervisors, lifesaving professionals, local authorities and partners who contributed to this new edition.

A special thank you to Stéphanie Barneix for her commitment and involvement in organising these three days dedicated to water safety and prevention.
