Water Safety Day with the JLA in Osaka
On Sunday, June 29, 2025, Lifesavers held a water safety class for elementary school students who had applied for the Itoman Swimming School Sakai Pool. Held for the first time at this location, the event featured special guest coaches Ryosuke Irie and Yui Ohashi.
A practical class was conducted at the pool by lifesavers to provide students with essential knowledge on water safety and teach them how to avoid drowning, ahead of the summer season.
The media was welcomed to cover the event, which aimed to promote water safety awareness before summer.
The water safety activity took place in the presence of Mr. Pascal Granero, General Manager of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, who represented the Foundation at the event.
The Foundation has collaborated closely with the Japan Lifesaving Association (JLA) since 2017 to implement programs focused on water safety, sports, and education for young children. JLA also partnered in this event to support awareness and educational activities, working toward the vision of “a world free from drowning.”
This event reflected the ongoing partnership and shared commitment to advancing safety and development through these vital initiatives.
